The Gay Parent Trap - Epilogue

It was the night before the wedding and Emma was pacing through her hotel room. She couldn’t help but think she had forgotten something. ‘Will you please stop worrying dear’ A voice sounded from the dark and Regina turned on the reading light above their kingsize bed. ‘It’s going to be perfect’ ‘But I can’t stop feeling like I forgot something’ Regina reluctantly climbed out of bed and lay a hand on her wife/fiancee’s shoulder. Emma turned around at the touch and her big beautiful worrying eyes looked straight into Regina’s brown ones. ‘Even if you forgot something, it doesn’t matter dear’ she spoke as she put both her hands on the blonde’s waist. ‘Why are you so calm? Normally you would be getting mad at me right now…’ Emma’s eyebrow shot up and Regina smiled devilishly ‘Because I just want to get you back in bed’ She licked her lips and Emma laughed, her worries fading away to the far corners of her mind. She had other things on her mind right now as Regina grabbed her nightrobe and pulled her onto the bed.

The next day they were both standing opposite each other in a beautiful gazebo. Not really paying any attention to the words being spoken next to them as they were staring into each others eyes dreamily. Emma snapped out of it when her best man David nudged her. ‘*cough*the rings….*cough*’ Emma had to swallow hard to try not to show any shock on her face. She completely forgot to get the rings back from the jeweller after the refitting. ‘The ring?’ But Emma couldn’t hide her feelings when she looked at the reverand with huge eyes. ‘Darling?’ Regina picked up something was wrong now too ‘Do not tell me you forgot the ring.’ Regina closed her eyes and took a deep breath ‘I’m calm, this is not the end of the world’ Emma’s adorable innocent smile didn’t help calm her much.

‘Take this one’ Emma turned to David and saw a beautiful ring with a huge stone in it dangling between his fingers. ‘It was my mother’s, it will always bring you happiness’ ‘It’s beautiful, but I can’t take that, it belongs in your family’ ‘Well, you feel pretty damn close like family to me, take it, please’ Emma was still a little hesitant at first but eventually took the ring and hugged her best man.

‘You may kiss the bride’ But their lips were already unseperable even before the word kiss. Henry (Regina’s best man) who was standing behind Regina couldn’t stop a single tear from escaping his eye and running over his cheek.

Good could win and happy endings were possible…
